A home buying scheme in North Lanarkshire which is allowing the local authority to provide more homes for rent is being extended.North Lanarkshire Council’s open market purchase scheme, which is supported by the Scottish Government, has delivered 562 extra council homes for rent since its launch in April 2018.The successful scheme is being extended with some sellers being able to remain in their homes and become council tenants.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
