One of Corrie’s most familiar and best-loved faces has sadly said goodbye to the cobbles for good. Beloved busybody Norris Cole has been killed off by the show’s writers after Malcolm Hebden retired from the soap after 27 years.
At the time of his departure in June 2019, the door was left open for Norris to return to Corrie but now his character’s off-screen death has scuppered any chance of fans seeing him make a guest appearance down the line.
Fans will recall his poignant exit from Coronation Street where he was seen waving to Rita as he slips away in a taxi to start a new life with his fiancé Frieda.
