Normani has broken her silence on her fellow former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello's old racist Tumblr posts and tweets that resurfaced and went viral this December and how they made her feel about Cabello.

Normani sent a statement via email to Rolling Stone, telling its reporter during her interview that “I just want to make sure that anything I say is exactly what I mean."A Twitter thread captured screenshots of Cabello using the n-word and posting racist gifs on her personal Tumblr in 2012 and 2013, when she was around 14.

Cabello apologized publicly on December 18, saying, "When I was younger, I used language that I’m deeply ashamed of and will regret forever.
