No Time To Die writer Robert Wade made a sexist joke about Phoebe Waller-Bridge and said she was ‘very witty for a woman’. The 58-year-old appeared on James Bond Radio to discuss the new film and later made a ‘joke’ about the Fleabag actress.
Speaking on Phoebe and her process of polishing the script, Robert explained: ‘It’s like a relay race. Phoebe did the bit where you get the prize at the end. ‘For a woman, she is very witty.’ The podcast’s host was shocked by the sudden comment, which in turn had Robert insisting: ‘It’s a joke.’ Along with Robert and Neal Purvis, Phoebe was brought in to help with the screenplay and from the trailer alone, we already know she did a great job.
