No Time to Die may have been for select eyes only but those who saw it were almost unanimous in their praise for Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007.
After more than a year’s delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, the screening at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday night offered a quantum of solace to the film industry that better days are ahead.
For Craig, it was his fifth and final chance to show there is more to the secret agent than fast cars, cocktails and a bevy of beautiful women.
Empire magazine gave the film four out of five stars with reviewer John Nugent claiming it “dutifully ticks all the boxes – but brilliantly… For a 007 who strived to bring humanity to larger-than-life hero, it’s a fitting end to the Craig era.
