The latest data from NHS England was published this afternoon and shows a further 23 people died after testing positive for Covid-19 in England.
But none of the deaths were reported in the North West. It means the total number of deaths in our region remains 5,816. Eight of the deaths were in the Midlands, five in the East of England, four in the North East and Yorkshire, three in the South East, two in London and one in the South West.
