No happy homecoming for son after dad refuses entry to his home in Craigneuk

There was no happy homecoming when a son struggling with life on his own returned to his dad’s house in Craigneuk.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard this week that Mark Langford caused a scene when he was refused entry.He claimed he went to the house because he was hungry and had no money for food.Langford, 27, of Hawthorn Drive, Wishaw, admitted two charges of threatening or abusive behaviour.

He was on bail for other matters at the time.The court was told that he went to his dad’s home in Laurel Drive, Craigneuk, about lunchtime on Sunday, June 7.His sister and a child were also at the house.Langford was refused entry and started banging on the door.He opened the letterbox and shouted abuse at his dad.The police were called and Langford.
