When Aaliyah Blyth and her one-year-old moved into a terraced home in north Manchester, it seemed perfect. The 21-year-old had been 'sofa surfing' before she secured the property as temporary accommodation.

Aaliyah says it was 'fine for about a week'. She soon noticed a small patch of damp in her son's bedroom, believed to have been caused by a leak, which she reported.
