The City of Lost Angeles will not be filing charges against Kanye West for allegedly punching a fan in January, Rolling Stone reports. “After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file based on no reasonable likelihood of conviction,” Rob Wilcox, a spokesman for L.A.
City Attorney Mike Feuer, told the magazine. The FADER has reached out to Feuer’s office and to a representative of Kanye West for further comment.
The incident in question allegedly occurred when a male fan approached Ye outside SoHo Warehouse, a members-only club in downtown L.A., in the early morning hours of January 13, 2022.
A video posted by TMZ that afternoon appears to show West shouting at a woman who seems to be attempting to calm him down while his alleged victim lies on the ground.
