Nina Dobrev reveals how boyfriend Shaun White ended up making a cameo in her new movie ‘Reunion’

Nina Dobrev, who plays Amanda Tanner in the film, exclusively told The Post. “The scene was actually born from him coming to visit me on set.”White played himself in “Friends with Benefits” (2011) alongside Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

He expressed to Dobrev and the crew that he “loved” the experience, but he wanted to “not be me next time.”Dobrev and the crew proposed White take part in “Reunion” right then and there. “Why don’t you do something in this movie?” they asked, to which White immediately responded: “Let’s do it.” “Reunion” follows former high school classmates at their 20th reunion as they uncover the murder of one of their own, Mathew Danbury (Chace Crawford), while snowed-in at his home the morning after the big party.

The camera pans to White when the former classmates quickly get wild at their party. The athlete is seen chugging alcohol out of bottles duct-taped to his hands alongside former classmate Ray Hammond (Lil Rel Lowry).

It was a “quick little fun” moment after “we just threw a line at him,” Dobrev told The Post.“I wasn’t in the scene with him, but it was fun,” she told The Post.Dobrev, 35, and White, 37, initially met during a brief encounter at an awards show in 2012 but weren’t formally introduced until 2019.
