Nikki Haley is very much a long shot to win the Republican nomination, but at least her bid against Donald Trump will include a primary victory.
Haley won the Washington, D.C. primary this evening with about 62% of the vote, compared to about 33% for Trump. In the heavily Democratic city, the Republican primary drew just over 2,000 votes.
Haley ended up winning all 19 delegates. The former UN ambassador is seeking more wins on Tuesday, when 15 primaries and caucuses are being held.
But Trump is expected to come away with a lopsided share of the delegates, putting him on a path to secure the nomination later in the month.
