Having gone with an all-lowercase “nightline” since 2017, a new take on the show’s all-caps “NIGHTLINE” that had been in use between 1997 and 2017 will now be introduced. (That look itself was inspired by “Nightline’s” original logo, which featured a city skyline embedded in its letters.) According to ABC News, the new logo “honors its iconic legacy, blending elements from its original look with an updated, modern design.” The change happens as ABC News celebrates the “Nightline” 45th anniversary on March 24 (12:35 a.m.
ET) with a special episode, featuring all-new interviews with original anchor Ted Koppel, as well as previous anchors Terry Moran, Dan Harris, Cynthia McFadden, Bill Weir and Dan Abrams.
Current “Nightline” rotating anchors Juju Chang and Byron Pitts will anchor together on that episode in honor of the show’s birthday.
