In an interview for the New York Times, Nicole was asked about filming the psychological sexual drama Eyes Wide Shut with her then-husband, playing a husband and wife couple who are dealing with infidelity. “If you’re acting those scenes with the person to whom you’re married, and doing it as part of this immersive process, can it open up negative feelings that later you maybe wish you hadn’t opened?” the New York Times asked. “That fits the narrative that people came up with, but I definitely didn’t see it like that,” Nicole said, not putting down her marriage.
