Chopping and changing from faux fur to flouncy dresses, and corsets to comfy clobber is all in a day’s work for actress Nicola Coughlan.
The Galway actress has garnered stellar reviews as one of the stars of Netflix’s new period drama Bridgerton. But while the life of her character Penelope Featherington appears all big hair, beautiful ballgowns and high society, she reveals that life as a lady takes a lot of work, in a behind-the-scenes look at the show this weekend. ‘The whole process takes about two hours from when you sit in the chair,’ Nicola reveals. ‘From getting hair all clipped up and then sprayed down, a very gorgeous wig-cap goes on.
