Nicola Coughlan Gives Update on 'Bridgerton' Season 4, Hints at Her Participation in New Episodes

If you don’t know, season four will be lead by Luke Thompson, who portrays the second oldest Bridgerton child, Benedict, and will focus on his love story with Sophie, played by new cast member Yerin Ha. News about season four, “It’s gonna be amazing. Luke and Yerin are hard at work now. They’re having such a good time.” She did hint that she has a more backseat role as Penelope Bridgerton this season, considering her big leading season was season three.
She shared, “It’s quite nice to take a step back and can let them like do it all. We’ve been filming for about a month now. But I get to pop in and out, so I get to come to New York which I couldn’t have done last year, so it’s quite nice.” Fans are speculating she’ll have a role in size similar to Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley in season three, after their leading roles in season 2. “I’m sure the show will go on forever, there’s lots more love stories to be told,” she said about her future on the show.
