The first trailer for Nicki Minaj‘s upcoming docu-series has been released. On Thursday (July 28), the 39-year-old “Super Bass” rapper dropped the trailer for Nicki, a six-part docu-series which follows her rise to stardom. Click inside to watch the trailer… “You don’t get a manual on how to be a famous rapper,” Nicki says in a voiceover. “You just learn it as you go.” The trailer shows footage of Nicki as a young girl along with clips of her career over the years, from performing on stage to attending events. “I’m fighting for the girls who never feel like they could win,” Nicki adds in the trailer, as her song “Chun Li” plays in the background.
The trailer for Nicki describes the documentary as “a story so raw, it can only be told by a legend that’s real.” As of right now, Nicki doesn’t have a release date, but she did tease on Instagram that it’s “Coming out SOONER THANK [sic] YOU THINK.”
