Nicki Minaj's "Super Freaky Girl" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week of release, Billboard reports.
The placement makes Minaj the first female rapper to have a solo song premiere at the top spot since Ms. Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)," released in 1998. "Super Freaky Girl" is Minaj's first unaccompanied No.
1 hit. Her songs "Trollz" featuring 6ix9ine and "Say So" featuring Doja Cat, both released in 2020, also went to the top of the Hot 100.
Since its release, "Super Freaky Girl" has amassed 21.1 million streams, 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and 89,000 digital copies sold, as per Luminate.
