Nicki Minaj has broken a chart record with her new album Pink Friday 2, which has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
That makes the album, released on December 8, her third chart-topping album and the first time a female rapper has achieved the feat.
Minaj was previously tied on two No.1 albums with Foxy Brown. Pink Friday 2 sold 228,000 equivalent album units in its first week on sale.
That includes 169.87 million streams and marks the biggest sales week for a female rapper in the current decade. The album also sold 25,000 copies sold on vinyl.
