Nick Grimshaw has quit his Radio 1 job after 14 years at the station, the Mirror can exclusively reveal. The star will reveal on his Drivetime show today that he leaving the station, which he first joined back in 2007.
It's understood that Grimmy, 36, told BBC bosses several weeks ago who have now appointed Jordan North and Vick Hope to replace him.
A source said: “Grimmy has loved every minute and done everything he ever dreamed of on Radio 1. It has been a really hard decision but he is looking forward to the next chapter in his life.” Grimmy took over the reins of the famous Breakfast Show in 2012, replacing the long-standing Chris Moyles.
