Rising star Niamh Algar has been making huge strides in her career recently, culminating in a nomination for her first BAFTA.
But Niamh, 31, will be watching tonight’s awards ceremony from afar as she is on location in South Africa, filming the hit sci-fi series Raised By Wolves with acclaimed director Ridley Scott.
The talented thespian has been on something of an acting odyssey in recent years, and in 2019 she was named as one of BAFTA’s rising stars.
Now, just two years later, the Mullingar native is a major contender for the Best Supporting Actress BAFTA for her role in Irish crime drama Calm With Horses.
