NHS Forth Valley offering drop-in clinic for Covid spring boosters this week

Forth Valley NHS will be offering drop-in clinic for anyone who missed their Covid-19 spring booster this week. The spring booster's are for those aged over 75, or severely immunocompromised, and have received a letter but have not yet taken up the offer.

The drop-in clinics this week will be initially be available at Falkirk Community Hospital, Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre and Stirling Health & Care Village from Monday, June 6 until Friday, June 10.

The clinics will be open from 8:30am to 5:30pm and will be open for the next three weeks. Added to that, the health board are also running drop-ins for anyone aged 12 and over for their first, second, third (if eligible) or first booster dose (if eligible).

This service is currently available at the same locations as above and will be on offer until June 18.Forth Valley NHS say special clinics are available for pregnant women.A spokesperson said: "Women at any stage of pregnancy can get their Covid-19 vaccinations at special vaccination clinics on Mondays and Tuesdays (5.00pm – 7.00pm) in the maternity ultrasound department within the Women and Children’s Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital."You can also receive your whooping cough vaccination at these clinics."The Covid-19 vaccine is strongly recommended during pregnancy as vaccination is the best way to protect pregnant women and their babies against the known risks of Covid-19." Appointments for Covid-19 vaccination can still be booked online via the national booking portal, or call the national vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013 (open from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week).
