A global IT outage is affecting services across the NHS with GP appointments cancelled and some patients unable to pick up prescriptions.
The NHS has confirmed that most GP practices across the country are affected by the global IT outage with some Greater Manchester GPs cancelling appointments.
Patients across the country have also said they cannot pick up prescriptions from their pharmacies. It comes as an issue with Microsoft Windows has left banks, airlines, telecommunications companies, TV and radio broadcasters and supermarkets with outages.
Passengers at Manchester Airport have also reported issues while some train operators are affected too.
