Callum Wilson wants to fire himself into the Premier League 100 goal club at Newcastle. The new Toon striker says a driving force behind his £20m switch from Bournemouth is to become part of the “elusive” band of 29 players who have made it to a ton.
Wilson is on 41 Premier League goals in 126 appearances, with his biggest haul of 14 in the 2018-19 season. He will lead Steve Bruce's strike force in the season opener against West Ham on Saturday night with a series of ambitious goals already set.
Wilson said: “I feel in the best shape I have felt. My injuries are behind me. So I feel now it is pure football focus going forward.
