Newborn baby found in WHEELIE BIN to the shock of nearby residents

A newborn baby has been found in a wheelie bin on Grimsby's Nunsthorpe estate, Grimsby Live has reported. According to the publisher, the boy, who still had the umbilical cord attached, is being treated in hospital.

Following concerns of crying, he was discovered in a brown garden waste bin on Langton Close off Winchester Avenue at about 5pm on Sunday, June 19.

There are reports that a concerned resident discovered the baby among grass cuttings after opening the bin. The baby's young mum has been traced and was also taken to hospital and is now being cared for by relevant authorities. At least four police cars and vans were at the scene along with two ambulances. Police officers were seen conducting house to house enquiries and interviewing shocked residents.
