New-look Rangers and their 'exceptional technical quality' were too much for German side Hallescher on Friday according to their manager Sreto Ristic.
Michael Beale and his side picked up a comfortable 2-0 win behind-closed-doors against the 3.Liga side with Abdallah Sima scoring his first goal in Rangers colours while James Tavernier converted from 12 yards.
The game was played in front of no spectators to ensure "undisturbed preparation" for the new season and boss Ristic regrets fans couldn't get in to see what was a "worthwhile exercise" for his team.
But he applauded what he saw from both sides in the game near Weimar and he reckons the Ibrox side put on a clinic in technical quality.
