deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: New Line Cinema and Hello Sunshine have teamed on an acquisition of the Curtis Sittenfeld novel Romantic Comedy.
The film centers on a comedy writer who thinks she’s sworn off love until a dreamy musician flips the script on all her assumptions.
Jordan Weiss and Dan Brier are adapting the book, which spent four weeks on the NY Times Bestseller List and was also Reese’s Book Club Pick in April 2023.
Weiss and Brier most recently wrote the upcoming New Line feature Sweethearts, which was also Weiss’ directorial debut. Weiss is also known for creating the Hulu series Dollface.
