New dog grooming salon is coming to Prestwick

A new dog grooming salon will soon be on its way to Prestwick.Plans for the new business have been approved by South Ayrshire Council’s Planning Department.The site is next to a residential property in Weston Place and the venue for the business will be on the site of a former garage.The applicant, Louise Gilmour, wanted to demolish an existing garage to make way for the dog grooming studio.In her supporting statement she said: “Planning permission has been granted in a previous application to convert the existing garage to a dog grooming salon.“Unfortunately, when the contractor was on site to begin the work, it was discovered it was unsafe to carry out the work due to the stability of the existing garage structure.
