Following the hit first season, the romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This is returning for a second series with an even star-studded cast. The show features Adam Brody and Kristen Bell as leads, exploring the quirky romance between a unique American Rabbi and an agnostic woman who co-hosts a podcast on relationships.
Netflix has roped in Adam's real-life spouse and Gossip Girl legend Leighton Meester as a guest star for series two. She'll portray Abby, "Joanne's (Bell) middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer." While it's not confirmed if Leighton and Adam will appear together on-screen, fans would surely be disappointed if Netflix didn't capitalise on the opportunity to unite the couple in the same scenes.
Joining them as a guest star is The Resident's Miles Fowler, playing Lenny, "Noah's Matzah Ballers teammate who gets set up with Morgan." Leighton and Adam are quite the team, having first met on the set of The Oranges in 2011 and subsequently co-starred in Life Partners and River Wild, reports the Mirror.
Nobody Wants This launched its inaugural season on the streaming service last September to fan and critical acclaim. Following the positive reception, the show was swiftly renewed for a second series just one month later.
