Netflix’s ‘The Night Agent’ Drops Season 2 Premiere Date & Action Packed Teaser
deadline.comGabriel Basso will return as Peter Sutherland in Netflix‘s The Night Agent for Season 2 on January 23. The 10 new episodes were shot primarily in New York City with additional filming done in Thailand and Washington D.C.
Watch the teaser above. By the time Season 2 premieres, fans will have been waiting nearly two years for new episodes. However, they can rejoice that the Sony Pictures Television series— created, showrun and executive produced by Shawn Ryan— was renewed for a third season early last month.
As Deadline previously reported, shooting is set to begin on Season 3 in Istanbul at the end of this year followed by a New York shoot in 2025.
Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent‘s freshman season follows low-level FBI agent Peter Sutherland who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.
