The early noughties aesthetic is alive and well, and even Netflix is gearing up to harness the trend with its latest horror offering, Time Cut.
Starring Madison Bailey of Outer Banks fame and Antonia Gentry from Ginny and Georgia, the story follows a teenager who discovers a time machine and travels back from 2024 to the early noughties in an effort to prevent the murder of her older sister.
It boasts direction from Hannah Macpherson known for T@gged with a screenplay penned by both Macpherson and Michael Kennedy of Freaky fame.
The concept of time travel has been explored in great detail before on the big screen, but the decision to set Time Cut in what many consider recent history has proven controversial, reports the Mirror.
