Avatar: The Last Airbender” is back in production for Season 2, with the streamer revealing that Miya Cech has been cast as the fan-favorite character Toph.
In a clip released as part of Netflix’s annual Geeked Week fan event, Toph’s feet are seen in closeup before she stomps down and demonstrates her earthbending.
The 17-year-old Cech is likely best known to audiences as the younger version of Ali Wong’s character in the Netflix romantic comedy “Always Be My Maybe,” released in 2019.
Funnily enough, she also played a younger version of Ali Wong’s character in an episode of the Netflix series “Beef.” She also starred in Nickelodeon’s short-lived series “The Astronauts” and had a supporting role in last year’s coming-of-age comedy “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.” Toph was first introduced in Book 2 of the original “Last Airbender” animated series.
