Netflix fans 'can't take Fool Me Once character seriously' after former role classic film
ok.co.ukIt's only been out for a week but Fool Me Once quickly jumped to the number one spot on Netflix. The series, led by Michelle Keegan as Maya Stern, has had viewers talking due to its intense plot and many twists and turns.
However, fans have claimed they can't take one character "seriously" after recognising them from an iconic film. Adeel Akhtar plays detective Kierce, who is investigating the death of Maya's husband Joe (played by Richard Armitage), and is a straight-laced police offer.
However, fans were quick to realise Adeel played a terrorist who plotted to be a suicide bomber in Four Lions. Many rushed to social media to note they could no longer take his character Kierce seriously when they realised his former role.
One fan posted: "Just started Fool Me Once on Netflix. Michelle Keegan’s new one. Immediately recognised detective Kierce is Brother Faisal from Four Lions.
