Netflix Creates 'Short Ass Movies' Category in Response to 'Saturday Night Live' Sketch

Saturday Night Live inspired a new category at Netflix! On Monday (April 4), the streaming service quote-retweeted SNL‘s recent “Short Ass Movies” sketch, adding the caption, “good idea” as well as a link to a new section of their website dedicated to movies with short runtimes. Click inside to read more… In the SNL sketch, Pete Davidson, Chris Redd, Gunna and Simon Rex express their frustration over the excessively long runtimes of some Netflix films.

While many of the films mentioned in the sketch – like The Lion King, Bad Moms and Austin Powers – aren’t available on Netflix, fans can find Stand By Me, Zoolander, and an assortment of other films that clock in under the 2 hour mark.
