Netflix said today it’s raising prices on some of its plans in the U.S., U.K and France with the Premium subscription Stateside now set at $22.99 a month, up from $19.99.
The Basic plan (which is being phased out and is no longer available to new members) will now cost $11.99 from $9.99 “While we mostly paused price increases as we rolled out paid sharing, our overall approach remains the same — a range of prices and plans to meet a wide range of needs, and as we deliver more value to our members, we occasionally ask them to pay a bit more,” the company said to in its letter to shareholders accompanying quarterly earnings.
The increase are rolling out today. Netflix with ads ($6.99) and the Standard plan ($15.49) are staying the same The streamer is also adjusting prices in the U.S., U.K.
and France. Pricing for the Ads plan, Basic, Standard and Premium are, respectively, UK £4.99/£7.99/£10.99/£17.99 and 5.99€/10.99€/ 13.49€/19.99€.
