Deadline understands that both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have lined up documentaries on Nickell, the British woman who was stabbed to death on Wimbledon Common, south-west London, in July 1992.
Netflix has greenlit an original documentary from Blast! Films, the Sky Studios-owned production company behind Nat Geo’s Tsunami: Race Against Time.
Netflix declined to comment. Production has been underway for many months on the three-part series, which has the working title Wimbledon Common.
