Neil Warnock has been tipped to make a quickfire return to management just weeks after he left Aberdeen. In the wake of Barry Robson's dismissal at the end of January, the veteran boss took on the reins at Pittodrie on an interim basis for the remainder of the season until Dave Cormack and the rest of the board searched for a permanent appointment.

However, after failing to win in any of his six Premiership matches at the helm, Warnock stepped down from the role just minutes after guiding the Dons to the semi finals of the Scottish Cup with a 3-1 win against Kilmarnock. The 75-year-old, who started his managerial career with Gainsborough Trinity back in 1980, has refused to rule out a return to the dugout.

And according to the Telegraph, Warnock could emerge as a potential candidate for the job at Plymouth Argyle, with the English Championship club set to sack Steven Gerrard's former assistant at Al-Ettifaq Ian Foster after less than four months in the role.Foster has won just four of his 16 games in charge, with the Pilgrims sitting just a point above the relegation zone with six games remaining.

The report states that although Warnock is currently seen as an outsider for the post at the moment, the charismatic boss could be in the running for a return to Plymouth, who he previously led to promotion to the English second tier in 1996.Fans of the Home Park club have been quick to react to the rumour, with some supporters keen to see the veteran com back and guide the team to safety.
