Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Lennon was referring to and former Celtic boss Barnes insists that's the way it must remain.He believes to go public with any behind the scenes issues would be counterproductive, despite fans being desperate for answers as to what has gone wrong.Barnes said: “At a club, if there is any unrest or upheaval as we’ve seen at Celtic this season, as a manager you do not want it to get out, as it can cause even more problems.

If you look at social media and the reactionary world we are in, everybody is so involved with everything."You don’t want to have messages out there that players are unhappy, and people fighting in training, standoffs with the board etc, it’s not good to bring all this to the surface.
