Neil Lennon admits excuses just won’t wash any more with the Celtic public. And he admits he’s not prepared to sit like a “happy clapper” and claim everything is going to turn out rosy.
Lennon remained defiant in the wake of the latest disaster at the hands of Ross County, but there was a slight change in tone.
Yes he still feels the man for the job. Yes he feels he can turn it around. No he doesn’t feel his time is up. No he doesn’t think the players aren’t pulling for him.
But, while he tried to explain away reasons for the loss to the Highlanders, there was an admission the words may not count, as Peter Lawwell watched the game from the stands.
