However, in a surprise announcement earlier this year it was revealed that the show was set to make a comeback and that cast members had started filming for the new series.
Throughout its nearly four-decade long history, Neighbours has helped launch the careers of stars including Kylie Minogue, Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth.
And another actor who got their big break on the show is Kristian Schmid who appeared on Ramsay Street in the 1980s and 1990s.
