Neighbours' final scene has been revealed – and it will include two of the soap's biggest stars. Fans are going to have to say farewell to the Channel 5 soap, which is ending this August after more than three decades on air, and the soap's writers intend to do so in spectacular fashion.The Australian soap is going to end on an emotional note, featuring arguably the show's most famous couple; Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.The two will be returning for a special episode to finish off the soap, which was given the axe earlier this year after Channel 5 pulled out funding the programme, with another a broadcaster not coming forward to take over the show.

Kylie and Jason, appearing as their characters, are going to return to Ramsay Street declaring they are "home".The show will go out on a high, with the writers leaving the script open so the show could come back in a few years if anyone wants to rescue it and bring it back. "Everyone is gutted the show is coming to an end but they are determined to go out on a high," a source told The Sun, "Kylie and Jason have such strong ties to the series they didn't even think twice about returning. "The final scene will make fans well up and sees Charlene and Scott return to the street as they declare 'we're home'.

Bosses have deliberately written the script so that Neighbours could come back in a few years should anyone want to rescue it." Kylie has previously opened up about her return to the show, saying it was "quite something". "It was lovely and emotional.
