A man reportedly "knocked and fell" at his neighbours door "with a towel to his neck" after a stabbing, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing at an address on Colbert Close in Upton, Wirral , at around 1.30am yesterday. Emergency services attended and a man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries to his neck where they remain in a stable condition. Neighbours living in the area described their shock after hearing what had happened. One woman told the Echo that she heard a man "knocked and fell" at his neighbour's door "with a towel to his neck".
The woman said: "I am just in shock. I'm in a coma at half one in the morning, so didn't hear anything but woke up police and forensic officers." Another woman who lives in the cul-de-sac said the street is "very quiet usually" and the only people who come and go are "people who live here and their visitors".
