Nebula Orders ‘Sub/liminal’ Scripted Original Series; Dan Jinks To Exec Produce
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Creator hub Nebula has ordered its first scripted original series, Sub/liminal, with Oscar-winning producer Dan Jinks (American Beauty, Big Fish) on board to executive produce.
The new dark anthology series from the indie streamer, said to be in the vein of The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror, will explore power dynamics in human relationships and what can happen when those relationships fall out of balance.
The first season will feature six stand-alone episodes with stories from Nebula creators brought to life in partnership with seasoned directors and producers.
The series is slated to begin production later this year. “I’m very much looking forward to working with Dave Wiskus and the amazing writers and directors he has assembled at Nebula for this exciting new series,” said Jinks. “Dan Jinks has an Oscar, I’m doing whatever he says,” said Nebula CEO Dave Wiskus.
