Authorities have asked Naya Rivera's Glee co-stars to not join the search for the missing actress. Naya Rivera, 33, went missing earlier this week after going on a boat trip with her four-year-old son Josey on Lake Piru, Ventura, California.

Josey was found alone in a rental boat and is said to have told police that his mother went swimming in the lake waters but did not return to the boat.

Now the Ventura County Sheriff's Department has requested that Naya's friends and fans do not join the search around the lake for the star, who they now presume to be dead.

A spokesperson tweeted: "For those intent on searching for Naya Rivera on your own, 1. The lake is closed. 2. Temps are already in the 90’s.
