Navy Blue shares major label debut “Chosen”

Rapper and producer Navy Blue has shared new song. "Closer" is Navy Blue's first official release on new label Def Jam, marking a new era for the previously independent artist.

Press materials accompanying "Chosen" state that it precedes his full-length debut album, due later this year. Navy Blue, real name Sage Elsesser, is a regular collaborator of artists including Earl Sweatshirt and Wiki.

Born in Los Angeles but based largely in New York, his early projects include Gangway for Navy, Àdá Irin, and Song of Sage: Post Panic!

between 2019-2020. He followed that with 2021 project Navy’s Reprise while last year he shared three physical-only releases — Gift of Gabriel: Rain’s Reign!, Crypt of Carlos: Onward!, and Arc of Atreyu: Neverending!
