Conservationist Naude Dreyer has begun to trend around the world for his videos in which he and some friends can be seen freeing Cape Fur Seals from fishing line in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Captured by Brett Barley the footage below shows Dreyer, and Barley’s friend Rob Brown, charge into a herd of seals who in turn flee for the sea as the two men attempt to corner the distressed seal and secure it in a large net in order to remove the plastic.
Once captured the animal is determined not to lie still and fights them unceasingly while they battle to free it, from what is obviously a painful injury caused by the fishing line.
