mirror.co.ukMore than £9.4 million in National Lottery prizes could be lost in the first months of 2021 if they are not claimed. People who bought tickets have been urged to check them as soon as possible to see if they match the winning ones.
There are 10 big prizes - including Lotto, Thunderball and EuroMillions draws - waiting for winners to come forward. According to the rules, if a player does not come forward within 180 days - six months - of the draw date, the prize and any interest earned on it will go to benefit National Lottery Projects across the UK.
The unclaimed prizes include £1,000,000.00 won thanks to a Lotto ticket bought in the Borough of Sandwell, Birmingham. There is also a £500,000.00 prize for a lucky person who got their ticket
