Natalie Portman Boards 'The Days of Abandonment' For HBO Films

justjared.comNatalie Portman has lined up another project called The Days Of Abandonment. The 39-year-old actress, according to Deadline, will star and produce the project from HBO Films.
The Days of Abandonment revolves around Tess, a woman who abandoned her own dreams for a stable home life, and when she is abandoned by her husband, her world is thrown off its axis.
The flick is being adapted from Elena Ferrante’s novel of the same name, and is described as “a no-holds-barred journey into the mind of a woman in crisis that confronts the norms of motherhood and female identity as Tess traverses the darkest reaches of her own psyche.” Maggie Betts will direct, and Elena will also be on board as a producer.
