A hero civil servant who used a narwhal tusk to tackle the Fishmongers' Hall terrorist has wept as he described leaving a rose at the scene for the knifeman who tried to kill him.
Darryn Frost grabbed the makeshift weapon from the wall of the building as Usman Khan went on a killing spree during a prisoner rehabilitation programme last November.
Khan, armed with two knives and wearing a fake suicide vest, killed Saskia Jones and Jack Merritt in the attack. Speaking before Sunday's anniversary, Darryn, 38, read from a card he left for Khan along with the flower at the scene of the attack on London Bridge.
