Naomi Watts has just joined the next season of Feud! The 53-year-old actress is set to star as Babe Paley in the upcoming installment from Ryan Murphy and Plan B, according to Deadline. Click inside to read more about the new season and Naomi’s role… The outlet reports that season two of Feud will center on the women of Truman Capote‘s life.
The season will be an adaptation of Laurence Leamer‘s bestselling book “Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era,” and be set in the 1970s, ending with Capote’s death in 1984.
The book chronicles the tale of the famous author as he stabs several of his female friends — whom he called his “swans” — in the back by publishing a roman à clef short story called “La Côte Basque 1965” in Esquire in 1975.
The list of top socialites in his inner circle included Babe Paley, wife of CBS head Bill Paley, who will be played by Naomi; as well as Slim Keith, Pamela Churchill Harriman, Lee Radziwill, Gloria Guinness and C.Z.
