'My sister says I'm stealing her baby's name – but she isn't even pregnant'

Choosing to name your little one after a loved one can get a little tricky - especially if you have a sibling who has the same idea as you.One woman explained that she and her sister were raised by their stepmother, and she was more of a mother than their biological mother had ever been.

Sadly, she "passed away about five years ago", and the woman decided to name her child after her to honour her memory. "Her name was Leigh-Ann, and it was very important for me to honour her by naming my child after her.

We selected the name Leanna in order to honour Leigh-Ann while being somewhat different and more modern," she explained on Reddit.She continued: "My sister had the same idea of wanting to honour Leigh-Ann and named her two-year-old Lee.

We told her that we chose the name Leanna for the child we're expecting. My sister is very upset because she said that it clashes with her baby name choices. "My sister is not currently pregnant but wanted to name her future daughter Ann or Anna as another way to honour Leigh-Ann.
